ADULT Official Newfoundland Sou’wester Hat

Developed in the 1800’s, the sou’wester is a collapsible rain hat that was used by Newfoundland fishermen. This hat, with its unique design, is longer in the back to protect the neck and face without hindering visibility. The Sou’Wester helped keep fishermen dry during adverse weather conditions as they tended to their nets.
